Carol could here Charles tapping away at a block on his crafting station. She didn't know what he was making and was pretty sure he didn't either. But it kept him busy and doing something other than school, gardening, and helping run the shop. Sometimes she felt guilty about that, that he had to spend so much time doing grown up things instead of being a teenager. Sometimes she thinks that she should have sold the farm when Michael died and brought a smaller place, for her and Charles. Yet, she couldn't give it up, it had been their dream and so many of their dreams had gone haywire. She didn't put down her book as she asked. "Do you want to keep the story closed tomorrow and head into Eaton with me"
"With you?" Charles didn't bother to stop his project. They had gotten use to quietly existing around each other.
"Will not with me. We can take the same cab. I will meet up with my friends, and you can meet up with yours"
"Sure" he mumbles barley audible above the sound of his hammer.

"I try to grasp on to the knowledge that they are never coming back" Carol cleared her throat and stares across the room "My heart refuses to acknowledge what my mind knows is true."
Matthew Smith sits quietly while she spills her guts. Matthew is a retired doctor, psychiatrist to be exact. He now runs an online forum that helps people cope with death of loved ones. Carol and him had become friends when she posted about the death of both her daughter and her husband. Most of the time he advised people to get a shrink, or join a group. But with some people he offered personal sessions held at local venues. Place where they would feel comfortable and able to open up.

"It doesn't happen by magic or over night" Matthew advises her. "It takes time for the heart to heal. The mind is much better at analyzing theses things, processing them. Then moving forward. While the heart feels, yearns, and aches. It takes time. Nothing ever happens by magic."

Their order comes and Carol contemplates his statement in silence. She is surprised when she looks up and her food is done. "Follow me." He states pushing back his chair.
"Where are we going? What are we doing up here?" Carol questions
Matthew stops and looks at her before saying "Trying sometime new. It's easier to heal when you go on with your life. Once of the things to do is try something new. It makes it easier to do the ordinary things later on"
He continues to walk towards the room glancing back to make sue she was following. "Come on it'll be okay."

They weren't very good at it but karaoke singing did seem to lift her spirit. It didn't fill the two holes in her heart but it did make her feel better for the moment.

********************
Charles had no idea that his mother was having a counseling session at a restaurant. He was enjoying teen night across the street. He didn't often get to hang out in Eaton, since he had to help out in the store. He was making the most of his freetime

Household: Wilson Round 8: Spring
Members of Household: James Wilson, Kellie Wilson, Jason Wilson
Featured in Post: James Wilson, Kellie Wilson, Jason Wilson, Dennis Hernandez, LaKisha Vincent, Charles McDaniel
She heard the footsteps walking up the stairs onto the little porch but thought nothing of it. It was probably just the paper boy dropping off the morning collection of magazines and newspapers. She didn't even bother to take a peek out the window to make sure. She just continued about her daily chores.

The doorbell startled her out of her routine. She tried to take a subtle peek out the window but the visitor had moved out of range. She gave up trying to see who it was and walked to the door. Maybe it was LaKisha coming over for a morning espresso or someone interested in one of the three remain prefabricated homes.
She would have never guested or expected it to be him, Dennis Hernandez. Dennis and James had once been best friends but over the years the friendship had waned. So, she was kind of shocked to see him and was about to tell him that James was at work when he stated, 'we have business to discuss" while still looking down the street not even bothering to turn around when he spoke to her.

Kellie doesn't answer him or invite him in. She just slowly turns around and heads to the espresso machine. Working the bttons and pulling the knobs. Giving herself a minute to collect her composure. Business? What business did htey have to discuss? Their business had concluded years ago. Before the birth of Jason and the boring security of family domesticitivity.
"Quite the little Stepford wife, you've become" Dennis jokes. As he watches her prepare the drinks.

Again, Kellie didn't respond, she just turned her back to him and headed for the table. When did he become so aggressive? So cocky and snarky? Where was the over confident dofus she had met years ago. More importantly where was the women she had once been? The go getter, ready for anything, take action girl.
"Hello, anyone home?" once again interrupting her thoughts. "Old age must be getting to you. Let's get down to business. I don't have all day."

She tried to gain control over herself... over the whole conversation "I don't know what you are talking about, Dennis. We have no business." She knew when the words left her mouth that they sounded weak and had tried to gain just slipped out of her hands.
Kellie sat with a horrified look on her face as Dennis laid his cards on the table. The DA had found out about the crime ring and had linked it, and Dennis, to a murder. The DA had offered him a deal and he was going to take it. The only question that was left was who was he going to take with him to prison.

"I have nothing to offer you" Kellie replied "We're up to our necks in home loans"

"I love James, he is like a brother to me. So, I'm not asking for money, at least not now. I have a friend who is going to need some help very soon. I want you to help."

"Help with what?" Kellie questions.
"Whatever, is needed. You help and I make sure that James, Jason and the DA never find out about you last profession. At least not from me"
********************
Kellie was unnerved by her talk with Denni. She hadn't realized until that moment how much her "normal" life had come to mean so much to her. She couldn't bear it if something were to happen and Jason and James found out about her criminal past. She didn't want either one of them to carry the burden of her crimes. What would Jason's friends think if they knew his mother was a criminal.

Kellie thought she was doing a good job of hiding her worry. But James sensed something was wrong and took her out on a surprise date. LaKisha Vincent agreed to come over and watch Jason.

"What's wrong, babe?" James asks.
"Nothing," Kellie tries to reassured him "Nothing at all".

"If it was anything serious. You would tell me. Wouldn't you?" He questions again, with a uncertain look in his eye.
"Of course" she replies reassuring him, again, and lying at the same time.
He reaches over and their hands touch. For that moment everything was all right. Dennis and his threats were briefly forgotten.

Yes that is Dennis Hernandez's live in girlfriend Angelica Alexander making out with Brandon Lillard.
I know that I should be updating a house today but I am really not satisfied with the why the Crabtree wedding post turned out. So this post is just going to be filled with all the pictures left out.
Warning Extremely picture heavy.

This post is not story related but it does deal with Oasis Valley. I know the title is a little scary and frankly after some of the problems that I have been having with my game, I am a little frightened. This probably should be Part Dos, but oh well.
First Sign of Doom: Happened when I was almost finished with Round 8 the first time. To understand the magnitude of the first sign. I should give you a some facts.
The first sign was a problem with Jean Hale {who resides in Hale (2)}. I noticed that her character was having issues when I played the Keyes house (number 12). I would invite Jean over to keep Dominique company and her character would never show up. So, I tried teleporting her over using the SimBlender still her character didn't show up. But I could make her selected which means that she was on the lot.
This should have been a giant red flag but I ignored it and continued to play the round. When I finally got to the Hale (2) house. Jean was suppose to be sleeping in her bed, but she wasn't there. Her temperature gage showed that she was could and not amount of forced error (via batbox), or teleporting would make her show up. I exited the game and looked up her character file and compared it to the last saved backup copy that I had. I noticed that her file was a lot smaller. So, I used my handy backup copy. But lost the all 16 house already played and the last 4 house in round 7.
From this I learned how to properly shut off my game and to never move in a playable sim with the propose move in option. I don't know of other people having problems with the propose move in option but it was either one or both of those actions that cause Jean's glitch. I am guessing the real fault is that I didn't give my game time to properly shut down all the applications and stuff before I turned my computer off. But I am not chancing that again. So, for now own. Any sim that leaves on household for another will have to move out using the newspaper (phone, computer) and into the simbin first. Then I will merge them in the household from there.
Second Sign of Doom: Happened tonight when I was playing the last house in Round 9, the Schmidts. It is time for the twins (Daniel and Rebecca) to grow up. I was playing the house on November 1 and got tried. But before I went to bed I wanted to see what Daniel and Rebecca would look like, so I aged them up using the cake (they got the one day message). This is how they looked when I left the game.

I was going to play again on November 3. I started up the game, entered the house and everything. Then I changed my mind. I quit the game the proper way and everything should have been fine. But tonight, Rebecca looked like this.

What happened? I did everything properly. I tried fixing it by aging her to a child and back to a toddler. It worked but then I got scared. What if something is wrong with her character file? I exited without saving, copied the storytelling folder. Then installed my backup. This time I will only lost 4 houses. I hope something did not happen to her character file in Round 7 and just decided to show up in Round 8.
There are times that I really would like to start over but I don't think I have ever played a hood for over a year (I started Oasis Valley this time last year). I would really hate to lose the sims that I have. I have become so attached to a lot of them and really want to develop their stories mores. I am going to be watching for glitches very closely from now on. Hopefully, I am just being paranoid, especially after what happened to Crystal Bay.

Ruth stood back and admired the work they had done. It had taken all day but they were finally finished. Jennifer had begged and pleaded with her to get married at a church and rent a venue for the reception. But she refused. She wanted to personally have a hand in everything. From supervising the movers put the tables to screwing in the last bolt in the wedding arch. The work had been satisfying and she was happy with her decision in the end.

Surprisingly her mother obliged. She even helped out a bit. She did thrown in a complaint now and then and put up a fuss when she went outside to take out the trash and found it knocked over.
"The things I do for them" she grumbled "and they say I'm too hard on them. I'm to easy on them. Jennifer Crabtree, or any Crabtree, should not pick up trash. That's the of the hired help."

********************
Jennifer was doing a last minute touch up to the buffet table, when she heard the doorbell ring. She sent Mindy to go greet the guest, wishing Ruth would have at least agreed to a caterer and a greeter. She couldn't fathom why Ruth would insist on being so common, that was not the way she was raised. Than a thought popped into her head, maybe Joe Car would be good for her. Joe Carr, the man who when Ruth first introduced them had been wearing sandals might just be good for her private school educated daughter. She was so shocked by the thought that she stopped arranging the salad and stared into space.
Mindy was more that happy to greet the guest. All afternoon she had been asking if she could help, just to have everyone respond with either "You're to little" or "We don't want to mess up your pretty dress" Greeting the guest sounded like an important job and she wanted to see the guest in all their pretty clothing.
She had been happily greeting the guest than she spotted her uncle, Robert Schmidt. She was talking to Jason Wilson about the joys of bird watching but stopped midsentence and rushed to Robert. She was disappointed to see that he didn't bring the babies with him. Mindy was hoping to finally get to hold them but uncle Robert said the babied had to stay at home, they were too little for weddings.

"If I walked down the aisle in this mom would probably die" Ruth states, while coming out the dressing room.
Ruht, Sharon, and Peggy had planned for this trip. Not that a drive to Eaton, wedding dress shopping, and dinner should take that long to plan. But Peggy was a busy girl working as an intern in a law firm and trying to travel the country with Randy. Ruth had organized the whole thing, something she was becoming rather good at. Her intension were simple, just to have a good time with her sisters before she becomes a wife. They were having fun trying to find ways to shock their mother, by trying on the most low cut, revealing dresses they could find.

Of course, Ruth would never walk down the aisle in a dress like that, they were just having fun. Instead she searched and found something more here style; traditional and conservative. Sharon whistled the "Wedding March" as Ruth walked by her and Peggy with a pleased smile on her face.

Ruth glances in the mirror pleased with the dress but still a little uncertain. She knows the dress is pretty, at least she thinks the dress is pretty. Will Joe like? She glances at her sisters through the mirror for reassurance.
"Don't worry, Ruth, you look wonderful. All eyes will be on you" Peggy reassures then turns to Sharon for back up "Won't they, Sharon?"
"Of course, they will" replies Sharon "You look like a princess" meaning every word.
Still Ruth looks in the mirror with a frown.

She finally steps backs from the mirrors, pleased with her dress selection. It does make her look like a princess and she feels like on too.

********************
When the host had reed them she had asked where they would like to be seated. Peggy had said by the door, she had wanted t ofeel the fresh air rush into the resturant when the door opened and closed. She soon found herself regretting her choice when the converstation turned to sex.
"I wonder if married sex is better than regular sex" Ruth questions.
" I don't know but I'll soon find out" Ruth replies with a wide smile.
Peggy didn't bother to respond she just wished they would lower their voices. She wasn't sure but she would have placed a large bet that the host overheard their conversation.

Peggy signed with relief when the waiter brought out the food and the champaign they ordered. What would thier mother think if she could hear and see her daughters talking about sex, loudly, and in public.
"A toast to the important things in like: Family, Love, and Happiness" Ruth announces interrupting her thoughts.
"Family, Love, and Happiness" Sharon and Peggy echo.

At that moment Jennifer was not worried about her daughters. She was enjoying her own meal with Mindy. Listening to the child talk about a flock of birds she watched fly over the house and enjoying the wonder in the girls voice.

Sharon had known this discussion was going to be difficult. Her mother had told her the sooner she did it the easier it would be for Mindy to adjust. Sharon on the other hand was having a hard time adjusting to the guilt that she was feeling. Ruth and Jennifer tried to assure her that she and Mindy would always have a place in the old Washington Loop home. But Sharon couldn't shake the feeling of being a burden, it was time for her and Mindy to move out on their own.
Tha is how they ended up sitting on the bench in the front yard. The same bench that Sharon and Mindy's father, Mark, had made out on years earlier while Sharon's parents were asleep. Jennifer had suggested she talk to Mindy in her room but Sharon needed the crisp early spring air to clear her mind and strength her resolve. Mindy didn't seem worried about the talk and happily read the crafting magazine left by the front door while her mother collected herself.

"Mindy, dear, we're moving" She quickly blurted out.
She hadn't expected the easy tilted head of acceptance or the bright hopeful smile or Mindy's next question. "Okay, mommy. Are we moving to daddy's?"
The guilt was back. She stared at her feet as they slowly moved back and forth pushing snow around and tried to find a response that would not break the little girls heart. Maybe this conversation would have been better in Mindy's room where Jennifer could have listened in from the doos and assisted when Sharon got stuck.
"No, Mindy. Not with daddy. Remember daddy's at Fort Dixie in the Coast Guards. You and me are moving not as far away as daddy. We'll stay here in Oasis Valley. You'll be able to see Grandma Susan, Grandma Jennifer, and Uncle Robert's new babies all the time."
Again the sensible little tilt of the head and a happy smile "Can we bring the pink furniture that's in your room?"
Just glad that the whole thing went so well, Susan agreed. At that minute she would have agree to almost anything. She tickled Mindy and sent her in the house to bed. It was late and she was exhausted.

Jennifer had watched the whole scene from a window. She couldn't ehar what was being said but she had been ready to step in at the first sign of distress. Sharon scared her, all her children scared her but Sharon scared her the most. Her flighty, gypsy attitude wasn't good for child rearing. Jennifer had hoped when Mindy was born Sharon would have gotten her act together, but no such luck. There were moments of hope, like this talk, but they were few and far between. She stood over Mindy's bed as the child slept and worried. Worried for Mindy's future. Worried for Sharon's future. Worried that somewhere, somehow she forgot to teach her children a lesson and that they would suffer. She worried that she had failed.

Household: University Mini-Update Round 7:Winter
Members of Household: Peggy Crabtree, Randy London, Genet Oduya, George Schmidt
Both Peggy and Randy were having second thoughts. At the time it seemed like a great idea to move George and Genet in wtih them. They all got along fairly well in the dorm but living in an apartment together was a whole different story. Almost every night Peggy had a complaint about them.

Peggy's main problem was George. His "friend" Kay was always over and with her came an annoying cheerleader. George and Kay would leave her downstairs and disappear up to his room. When they came down, they wouldn't even bother to put on clothing.

Genet was a little bit more respectful. Demios did spend the night sometimes but they were quiet and never came out of the room in their underwear.

Randy just kept reminding himself that graduation was near. Just a few more months and he would be a college graduate.

He and Peggy both couldn't wait to graduate. Peggy couldn't wait to start her career as a lawyer. While Randy just couldn't wait until they could live together in the open.

This past winter has been crazy hectic. First off Susan decided I should start coming into Just Desserts to help out. I had been just been preparing dishes here at home and Susan and Robert would deliver them to the store in the morning. Now Susan felt that I should get more hands on experience. Since as she put it she's old and might die any day now, I'll need to know the basics to help Robert run the bakery. All I really want to do in the bakery is cook, Robert can run it by himself or hire employees. Besides, I have enough on my plate with being pregnant.

Susan assured me it would be easy like eating a Sundae on a warm sunny afternoon.

Boy, did she lie. It wasn't that the job was hard. It was that the smell of the baking sugar and spices made me hungry. It was ahrd no to stick my fingers in the batter and lick them. I wasn't eve showing yet and my appetite was insane.

If being pregnant and working were enough. The house is haunted. I really thought I was seeing things when the red man floated by.

Robert assured me that no, I wasn't crazy. The red man was the ghost of his father who had died in a fire years before. He told me the ghost was harmless but angry and mostly caused loud noises in the middle of the night.

What have I gotten myself into. If Robert weren't so sweet and talented and prefect, I would have ran out the door when I saw the ghost for the first time. But we have such good times together. How could I ever leave him?

If I left who would take car of poor old Max? I'm the only one that gives him his bath.

Household: Vincent Narrator: Patricia Vincent Round 7: Winter

I can honestly say that I never thought that I could be the recipient of nepotism but I think m dad pulled some strings at the architecture firm that he works at and not only to help me get my job but also get a really good position. My boss says that I started off so high up because of my college degree, but I am a skeptical. I won't complain because I could be like Janet Hale, jobless.

To pay dad back for being so wonderful, me and mom went in and brought him a car. It was parked out front when we got home from work and to say he was surprised is an understatement.

I was really hoping that the car would make him more welcoming to finally meeting Leo but I was wrong. Right before we were all set to climb in the car and head to Eaton to meet for dinner, dad cried stomach ache. I was going to call him out on his "illness" but my mom stopped me and whispered "Give him time". When we got to the diner, I couldn't tell if Leo was sadden or relieved to find out my dad was a no show. I think he was relieved.

Dinner went well (even with dad missing). I was shocked about how polite Curtis was. I didn't think my little brother had it in him. He didn't snarl, frown, or make rude noises or comments when Leo talked about the environment and the importance of planting trees around industrial centers.

Mom was her charming self as usual. I wasn't really worried about her in the first place.

Dad was conveniently sleep when we arrived home, so we could not tell him about dinner. But I can always count on Curtis to keep things interesting. During breakfast the next morning he blurted out: "Mom, don't you think Leo and Patricia will make cute babies".
.jpg)
Dad wasn't entertained.

He was even less entertained when Leo showed up later that week for dinner. I have to say that I was real worried because dad would only stare at Leo when I introduced them. He didn't offer to shake his hand or anything.

Things didn't get any better over dinner, either. I don't think mom could handle the tense because she spent most of the time in the kitchen, checking dessert. And I know Leo was uncomfortable by the way he kept shoving food in his mouth so he wouldn't have to talk.

I was really hoping that dad and Leo could get along but dad is being impossible.

Household: Oduya Round 7: Winter
Members of Household: Lencho Oduya, Nyack Oduya
Lencho could only stop and stare. Nyack was raking up the leaves without being asked. It wasn't that Nyack was a bad kid or anything but what teenage boy voluntarily rakes up leaves. His parental instinct automatically went on guard.

Nyack knew he probably did a little too much when he looked up and was the guarded expression. But when he had the idea it sounded good at the time. Thankfully Lencho was just so happy that Nyack asked to hang out in Eaton after school, that he said yes. For a minute he thought his son was about to ask for a car, which they couldn't afford, they barely had furniture.
Nyack was happy when his father said yes. A bunch of his classmates were meeting up after school to hang out and have fun. He hadn't had a chance to hang out and have fun since his cousin Genet, left for college. He missed playing pinball.

The night wasn't all about pinball. The establishment was showing old black and white alien movies on the television and a buch of them had gathered around to watch. They had a ball laughing about the horrible costumes and special effects.

The night had went fairly well, no major incidents until he ran into Curtis Vincent. Nyack and Curtis weren't friends, all Nyack knew about Curtis was that he lived in Oasis Valley, worked at Crabtree's, and went to private school. He was shocked about how rudely the other boy acted when he suggested they share a cab together on the way home.

Curtis: Kid, I don't know you. You could be some crazed teen serial killer. Get lost, weirdo.
As Nyack enjoyed himself in Eaton Lencho sat on the couch and wondered ho he vecame this type of parent. He never imagined that he would be sitting at home on a Friday night waiting for his son. When he was younger his Fridays were always packed and fun. Now he's Fridays were spent at home alone, waiting on a teenager to arrive safely on his doorstep. He felt minutes away from requiring a walker to get around.

That is how he found himeself doing something he never imagined he'd do, for the second time on a Friday night. Walking to the phone and calling David Hale to set him up on a date.
********************
Lencho had honestly believed that nothing could be anymore embarrassing than asking someone to find you a date. He was proven wrong after weeks of talking on the phone, she invited him to a play. He found himself declining because Nyack was going out with some friends and he wanted to make sure he got home safely.
Amanda: I could wait up with you.
That's how he found himself greeting her at the curb in front of his house for their first date.

She was a lady and did not laugh when he apologized for the completely lame first date. In fact, she said she thought the whole situation was completely adorable, she even invented a game so they could pass the time, "Guess What The Teenagers Are Doing?". They had loads of fun thinking about their own teenage years while trying to guess what Nyack was up to. They would have been slightly disappointed because his fun was rated PG.

They were both shocked and disappointed when they heard the cab pull up. They walked to the window and watched as Nyack got out and headed inside.
Amanda: He looks like you.
Lencho smiles proudly.
Amanda: Well..... I have to go.
He reluctantly help her into her jacket and walked her to the door. He would have never guessed that David had such good taste.

Household: University Round 7:Fall
Members of Household: Peggy Crabtree, Randy London, Genet Oduya, George Schmidt
Peggy: I know its part of growing up and college life but she is paying for half my education. I just can't tell her, she wouldn't approve. And if she stopped paying for school what would I do?
Randy: You could be like the rest of use and take out loans.
Peggy: Why are you being such a hard ass about this, Randy? My mom can't find out about us living together. She would stop paying for school and I don't want to take out any more loans.
Randy didn't bother to respond. They had this conversation many, many times before. Each time he was disappointed in Peggy's complete inability to stand up to her mother.

Randy did understand where Peggy was coming from. She didn't want them to be bogged down with debt when they graduated college. But her relationship with her overbearing mother, Jennifer Crabtree, was beginning to worry him. He was just hoping that when they finally get married, not that he has asked yet, Peggy would be able to cut the umbilical cord.
Peggy: What are you thinking about?
Randy: I was thinking that maybe we should ask George and Genet to move in with us next year. Since we have the two empty bedrooms upstairs.

Peggy was pretty sure that Randy was not thinking about George, Genet or empty bedroom. But she didn't want to press her luck by pushing the subject and causing another argument. Why couldn't life and relationship be simpler? Like her Rubik circle, basic, easy to understand and figure out.

Why couldn't life be more like sex? Exciting and enjoyable, without any problems and complications. Sex was easy and basic. Relationship were not. Relationships had too many variables and personalities to deal with. life should be more like sex.

Household: Thomason Round 7: Fall
Members of Household: Allyn Thomason
Allyn was beginning to settle into her new life. She still hadn't been able to find a real career, but she was no longer flipping burgers either. Now she was waiting tables and that was a giant step up in her book. Her new job allowed her plenty of time to enjoy her sewing. She had worked her way up to sewing teddy bears and was wondering what to do with them all when she finished. Maybe sell them online or something.

One of the joys of living in Oasis Valley was how often Maria was able to stop by. Allyn loved hearing her stories about Teresa and Jose. The stories were always funny and heart warming even if they did reminded her of her childlessness. She was always surprised to see Maria go, the house seemed so empty when she left.
Allyn: It's time for you to go already?

********************
Realizing that it was crunch time and if she didn't take some kind of chances now and fast che would be a spinster for the rest of her life. Allyn singed up for an online dating site. She had been a little worried when she placed the ad because the dating site had been free and someone told her that free sites had slim pickings.
She could not help but smile when Dorian Kauker showed up in front of Just Desserts and introduced himself as her lunch date.

They had a lot to talk about. They both were looking for the same thing, marriage and children. Dorian wanted to recreate the family life he had when he was a child. A close family, winters infront of the fireplace and summers hiking and fishing as a family. As he talked she just listened, he was perfect.

********************
Apparently Dorian thought that she was prefect too. Because he invited her out every chance he got and she gladly accepted. Some of the dates were nice and romantic. But most of them, the funniest ones, were nice and easy, enjoying each others conversation and company.

Dorian never bored her.

Household: Hale (2) Round 7: Fall
Members of Household: Janet Hale
Janet Hale was flustered. She had been out of college for a whole season now and still had not found a job. She was applying but no one was calling her back. What was the point of getting a degree if she couldn't find a job?

She tried to avoid it. She really did. But she was down to her last dollar and couldn't humble herself to ask her family for money. Not that applying for social services was not humbling but it wasn't the same thing as asking for your mother's or siblings help. To make matters even worse her case worker was rude.

Janet tried to stay optimistic but everything seemed to go wrong. Even the weather was wrong.

To top it off someone knocked over her garbage can and the rain soaked through the trash making it a soggy smelly mess. It was a blessing that the weather had held up and there wasn't any Fall snow.

When she saw the mess she had wanted to cry. But somehow she was able to keep the tears from falling. She thought that she had her emotions under control but when the guy stopped and stared at her, arm deep in trash, and had the nerves to ask for directions she snapped. Couldn't he see that she was trying to pick up the trash so that her house would be infected with rats. His mother would have been ashamed to see him not even offering a lady help but instead interrupting her while she is cleaning up slop.

She let all her pent up anger and frustration pour out, until there was nothing left. Afterwards, she felt a weight had been lifted off her shoulder. Until she saw that she had made the young man cry.

When Brent called that night and invited her for dinner downtown she was relieved. Her refrigerator was almost bare and she didn't feel like cooking. She had really wanted company but was afraid to ask. Who wanted to hang out with a loser like her? Then fate answered with the always understanding Brent.

Janet: I know you didn't invite me here to hear me complain. But I can't seem to help it.
Brent: No really it's okay.
Janet: No it's not. I really expected to be going places by now. Traveling the world, seeing new sights.

Janet: See... See. I am complaining, again.
Brent: Really, Janet. You need to calm down. It will get better. Just give it time. Everything just takes a little time.

Brent always knew what to say to make her feel better and give her a little hope.

Household: Hernandez Round 7: Fall
Members of Household: Dennis Hernandez
It all started out pretty normally. Dennis was on a combined date-work assignment. This time he had invited Angelica to go with him.

Things were all going pretty well. They danced a little, socialized a little and hit the bar up a lot. Maybe it was the bar that did it. Dennis was feeling great, carefree and the bartender that night was one of the best.

He doesn't remember inviting her back to his place or much of what happened when they got there.

All he knew when he woke up was that his head was pounding, his throat was dry, and his stomach was growling. Dennis slowly climbed out the bed, barely glancing at Angelica and headed downstairs to fix breakfast. He heard her as she walked into the kitchen to grab a plate but his head hurt to much to think about why she hadn't left yet. It was the headache the caused the delay in his reaction when she said "Thanks for inviting me to stay here. It will save me so much money and I can finally get out of my dingy apartment."

It was the ringing in his ears that made him realize that he most likely heard her wrong. The fog quickly cleared when she patted his hand and thanked him again. The breakfast that had been enjoyable just minutes before now felt like lead in his stomach. He felt his body break out into a cold sweat and his stomach was ready to rebel. But there was nothing he could do, he now had a live in girlfriend.
********************
Dennis was sure that things could not get any worse. What could be worse than having a causal girlfriend move in with you? Dennis found out soon enough that things could and would get worse.
When the knock first came at the door, he didn't think anything of it. He even invited the older women in, since the air outside was had a nice crisp fall chill to it. He regretted being courteous right after the introductions were made.
Shirleen Smallwood: I'm Shirleen M. Smallwood from the Eaton District Attorney's Office. I have a matter to discuss with you.

Dennis: So, you're a DA? What can I do for you?
Shirleen: We know what part you played in the death of the mechanic.
Dennis: What mechanic?
Shirleen: I would tell you not to play dumb. But I sure that some of it is not part of your act. We know what you did. We have proof and witnesses.
Dennis: If you had what you needed, you would have hauled me in by now. You need me for something. I want a deal.

Shirleen: You don't have a right to make demands. You'll get what we give you.
Dennis: As I said before. You Need Me! or you wouldn't be here. Let's started talking deals.

Shirleen insisted that there was not going to be any deals. She tried to convince him that the DA's office did not make deals with criminals. But Dennis wasn't fooled one bit. She needed him and she would be make a deal with him. When she walked out the door he knew that she would be back, with a deal in hand. Until she did Dennis decided to splurge on life. He knew his days were numbered and wanted to enjoy time. Angelica was excited about taking a vacation and when Dennis announced that it was to the beach she clapped her hands in glee.
********************
They left at the end of the fall. The snow had just started to fall on the ground. Angelica was excited about lying on the beach and later bragging to all her friends about how wonderful Ailana was. Dennis was just excited about getting away.

Angelica: Dennis, why can't you just enjoy this?
Dennis: I have a lot of stuff on my mind.
Angelica: You're ruining this for me. Knock it off.

Which just reminded him of why he didn't want a "real" girlfriend in the first place, they were demanding and bosses. If he wanted to worry about the DA he should be able to do it free and not have to worry about his "girlfriend" harping at him. Karma was starting to kick in.

Household: Samuels Mini-Update Round 7: Summer
Members of Household: Caleb Samuels, Kimberly Duffy
Hello Robin,
It feels so funny writing to you instead of calling or sending out an email. I don't think that I have ever handwritten a letter in my entire life, I fell so vintage. I just wanted to let you know things are going well here on the island. Caleb makes sure I get tons of rest. He loves swimming in the ocean. I just relax of the beach, looking like a whale.

I think my hormones are getting the best of me. One minutes I feel that things are absolutely perfect and the next I feel that somethings is wrong. Things with the baby are going as well as expected, I didn't think being pregnant could be such a trial. The doctors here in Ailana are really nice and are taking good care of us. I think Caleb is really worried though and trying to keep his distance so I don't get stressed. But I wish he would stop because whenever he puts distance between us I feel so lonely.

At other times everything between me and Caleb are almost magical. He can be so thoughtful and romantic. At moments like that I feel like a queen.

It probably is just the hormones making me silly and sentimental. I think that this will be the first and last child I will ever have. Don't worry about me. We (Caleb, baby and I) are fine and enjoying the tropical weather. This handwriting thing is really tiring. I am going to take a nap and write to you later when something interesting finally happens.

Your Big Sister,
Kimberly
**********************************
Dear Robin,
It is with a heavy heart and tears that I write this letter to you. I honestly wish circumstance were different but they are what they are. Kimberly went into labor a couple of days ago. We weren't expecting the experience to be easy and it wasn't. In fact it was more difficult than the doctors predicted. Unfortunately, neither Kimberly or the baby girl survived.
Kimberly and the baby will be buried together here on Ailana.
Sincerely,
Caleb Samuels ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Household: Bridgehall Mini Update Round 7:Summer
Members of Household: Patrick Matthew Bridgehall
For the second time this summer Kellie was regretting her job. First, she had to deal with some D-list actor, who didn't know it and now the blond. To bad he was such a stereotypical surfer boy, how he graduated college was beyond her comprehension.

Kellie may not have liked Patrick's laid back attitude by Dennis Hernandez thought the kid was refreshing. A little on the naive sie but a good guy. Patrick reminded him of James Wilson when they both (Dennis and James) were younger.

It could have been this reminder of James that compelled Dennis to take Patrick under his wing and show him around Eaton and Oasis Valley.
Patrick was happy for Dennis' guidance, being a very social person he was worried that he would not make friends in the area. A worry tht was completely ungrounded. Since he could find something in common with almost everyone.

Patrick M. Bridgehall was enjoying Oasis Valley very much, indeed.

Household: Darwin Mini Update Round 7:Summer
Members of Household: Fairfax Randell Darwin Narrator: Fairfax Randell Darwin
My agent has duped me. When We talked about moving to the area, I thought I had been very clear. I wanted a place were I could raise a family, yet experience a full social life. This little suburban town is not the place. It maybe the prefect place to have children but there are no people. I didn't become an actor to just move to the middle of no where with nothing to do. I tried to explain this to the real estate lady but of course the country bumpkin couldn't understand.

I tried to connect with some of the local but apparently they don't watch television or go to the movies. Not that there is a theater here. But still, I'm all over the television, I would have at least expected them to see one of my commercials.

Even the young cashier didn't seem to know me. In fact he wasn't very nice at all. I understand, being a man of the world. I would be mad too if I was raised here. He didn't seem to appreciate my comment when I voiced it.

It wasn't all bad, my agent did get something right. I had a car pull up to my front door to take me to the set and drop me off, everyday.

Also, some of my fans were able to find me. It would have been easier if I was located in Eaton. I never get tried of hearing how how I am.

I also never get tired of handing the flattery out to my lovely more deserving fans.

Household: Duffy (2) Round 7:Summer
Members of Household: Robin Duffy
Note: I got carried away, this is a long one.
With the sweat dripping down her face, Robin was just trying to keep up the strength needed to go on. She kept trying to remember what she looked like with love handles and a double chin.

She tried to remember what it felt like when Ramin came over after he got off of work and they ran upstairs. She probably would not have made it to the top step without gasping for breath and they wouldn't have been able to preform the amazing acrobatics in bed without her morning runs or after work yoga sessions.

In fact, if it hadn't been for her morning runs, she would probably never have caught Zack's attention. She would not have been amazed by the way his chest look in a tank top or the way that he never seemed to get tired during a workout. Even with the sun rays heating their skin and the humid air filling their lungs.

As she pushed through a series of crunches, it was easy to blame her problems on the workouts. Yep, without the workouts she wouldn't have met him. She wouldn't have invited him in for a glass of water after an exhausting run on a particularly hot day. Without the workouts she wouldn't have ended up on the couch with him on top of her, trying to figure out how to take off his clothes in the quickest manner possible.

It was the workouts fault. Not her fault that she was feeling guilty. Ramin was wonderful, understanding, everything a girl could want. It was the workouts fault that she betrayed him, the great guy who could quitely sit back and play video games while she wrote down her thoughts.

Household: Hale-Saunders Mini-Update Round 7: Summer
Members of Household: Mildred Hale, Emily Saunders
Mildred: No, no, Mom. I'm fine. We have everything. I don't need you to tell me how to put a diaper on.

When the first sharp pain came she froze, remote in hand. All she could think about was, I'm not ready maybe if I ignore it, it will go away. But labor pains don't just go away they retreat for a minute maybe two or ten but they don't go away. When after four minutes of waiting it happened again she slowly turned off the television and headed to the phone, too scared that sudden quick moments would tear something.

Mildred couldn't believe all the pain and trouble she went through to give birth, she couldn't also believe that if she had to do it all over again she would. Stephanie Renee (aka Stef) and Elizabeth Lori (aka Beth) Saunders were worth it. She was a mother now and their little precious lives were in her hands.

For once she gained a new apprication for her mother. If not for Victoria taking it upon herself to drop by and check them on them, she would never had a chance to rest. Already she felt she was going to drop down dead. Three days without sleep, two impatient infants and dirty diapers to change, it was all overwhelming even with Emily's help. When she heard the knock out the door and her mothers voice it was like hearing a choir of angels, rescue.

Victoria wasn't the only one that stopped by to help. Jean and Janet also came at their mother's urging. Victoria told them that babysitting the twins would be an excellent chance for them to practice their mothering skills. What Victoria was really hoping to do was plant a seed in their heads. After a couple of hours, a couple of bottle, and watching with fascination as Stef tightly closed her eyes and grunted only later to realize that she was leaving a gift in her diaper; Janet wasn't sure she wanted kids now. Yes, they were cute but they seemed to be even more attractive when they were someone else's.

It was on one of those occasion when Victoria had so generously offered up her grand mothering services that Mildred proposed to Emily.

Household: Keyes Round 7:Summer
Members of Household: Anton Keyes, Dominique Keyes
Anton had been bot so patiently waiting for Dominique to get dressed. They were going to Ailana, he couldn't wait to hit the beach. He was just about to call her name when she came strutting down the stairs. He was surprised by her clothing or lack thereof.

Of course he didn't complain. He liked the outfits,as long as she wore it in the house.

The first thing they did when they got to Ailana was check in. The plane ride was excruciatingly slow for Anton. He couldn't get the picture for Dominique in her panties out of his mind.

He couldn't wait to re-enact the couch scene.

After getting some rest they took in a few sights.

Anton tried to warn Dominique but of course she wouldn't listen. He tried to pretend that he didn't know her.

It didn't work. The shrine attendant saw them come in together holding hands. They were quickly kicked out and told not to come back.
Anton convinced Dominique that it would be best to go back to the hotel and continue sight seeing the next day. Dominique didn't act any better behaved then either.

The rest of the trip passed peacefully.

When they got back Dominique felt sick to her stomach. A quick trip to the doctors revealed that she was expecting. The first thing she did was call her mother and invited her over to celebrate.

Members of Household: Peggy Crabtree, Randy London, Genet Oduya, George Schmidt
It took all of freshman year, a lot of hard work and an amplification of his charm until George finally got Kay Brown to notice him in a romantic way.

One would have thought that Kay would have been an easy catch. Apparently she really enjoyed the chase and so did George. Kay had to be the most exciting and affectionate girl he had ever met. Not that he had much experince with girls.

When George originally went to college he couldn't wait to move into the dorms. He kept thinking of all the people that he would meet. Now he couldn't wait to leave. The dorms allowed for very little privacy and because of that George and Kay spent most of their time in Eaton.

Eaton offered far less privacy than the dorms. Yet the trill of being watched was to much of an adrenaline rush for either of them to ignore.

Household: Duffy Round 7: Spring
Members of Household: Virginia Duffy, Sara Simmion
Virginia Duffy was beginning to feel ill. The once comfortable easy going romantic relationship she had with Sara, now felt like a roll coaster ride. One minute they would be enjoying themselves. Going to dinner in Eaton, drinking champagne, just living life.

The next day they would be in the middle of the drive arguing over old issues. Virginia would try to do her best and plead with Sara to come inside. It was embarrassing to have the neighbors hear and see them yelling at each other.

Sometimes she could get Sara to go in the house. That didn't happen often. Mostly Sara would just glare at her and then bring up Dennis Hernandez's party. Sara would say that she accepted Virginia's explanation that she and Dennis were just enjoying some harmless, innocent flirting. But they both knew deep down inside she didn't. And that's how they ended up in screaming matches in the middle of the yard during broad daylight.

As a last resort Virginia bought a puppy. She still remembered the lad dog they had adopted from the pound and cringed everytime she taught about the fur on the sofa. If Sara didn't love animals so much Virginia wouldn't have bothered. She kept telling herself she was doing this because she loved Sara and didn't want to lose her. However, as their lips locked she knew the real reason. She had only been dumped once in her life, by Robin and Kimberly's father, and she didn't want to repeat that experience.

Sara had been demanding that Virginia stop her flirtatious ways and show some respect for their relationship. It wasn't that Virginia didn't respect the relationship, it was that she just thought that it could be more open. Besides Sara didn't even know the half of it. Virginia was doing way more that flirting. Virginia continued to see Dr. Lillard for rendezvous. He even stopped by one morning more while Sara was at work to give her an early birthday present.

Virginia enjoyed the present but not the birthday. She was beginning to regret not letting Sara leave when she threatened to. Old age had made her reflect on her life. She always knew she wasn't the settling down type. Her and her daughters barely talked and she couldn't honestly say that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Sara.

So, when Sara brought up Dennis one more time. She calmly stated, "It's over"

Household: England Round 7: Spring
Members of Household: Hailey Crystal England
Hailey: You know, that last final was hard but I aced it and here I am.
While Hailey talked Kellie wondered where the off button on the red head was. She had been talking now stop since her cab arrived and dropped her off. No matter how many times Kellie tried to hint at leaving, the girl would not let her escape.

Hailey was naturally a happy person however the excitement of moving and starting a career in journalism had amplified her happiness. At Hailey's first pause Kellie quickly suggested that Hailey walk off some of her excess energy by taking a trip to Crabtree's Grocery. There she could stock up on supply and meet some more of the local residents. To Kellie's relief Hailey was excited about the opportunity to meet more people and walked off towards Crabtree's.
Hailey enjoyed the walk to the store. The fresh air filled her lungs and the sum beamed down at her. She was grateful for deciding to move to Oasis Valley and had a noticeable bounce in her step. The locals didn't seem to enjoy her cheerful attitude and zest for life.

The dreary deposition of the locals didn't put a damper on her optimism. She got what she needed and head home to make a quick lunch.

After finish up her meal she called a cab so that she could explore Eaton. Hailey was only able to catch a glimpse for it on her way to Oasis Valley early that day. She figured that since she was going to be a hard hitting journalist that she should familiarize herself with the terrain.

Eatonians were more than happy to stop to talk with Hailey. They didn't seem to mind her constant long winded rambling or her overly bubbly personality. Hailey didn't notice that everyone that stopped to chat with her was male and had a hard time keeping their eyes off her chest.

Household: Alpough Round 7: Spring
Members of Household: Zachary Darren Alpough
Zachary felt cheated. When he answered the ad in the paper the representative had said Oasis Valley was a growing town with lots of potential. Apparently what her definition growing and potential where different than his.

She had also said that Kellie Wilson would be there to greet him when he arrived. Maybe the lady was new to the job and didn't know what was going on. Because the town didn't look like it was growing but almost deserted and now one was there to greet him when he arrived. Mrs. Wilson didn't stop by until later that night, and she only stayed a few minutes. Long enough for him to sign the appropriate forms and than she was gone.

The next day didn't get any better. Before he left his home state he had a job lined up. When he called to report in and to find out when he could start working, a emotional receptionist told him that the company had just filed for bankruptcy. He was devastated he had sold very thing he had to move out here and only had a little money left from the home loan he had taken out. If he didn't find a job some he would be out of money and probably on the streets.

Thinking that his luck couldn't get any worse he applied for the first job he could find in construction. He never thought in college that he would have to restore to manual labor. He spent a lot of money on his degree and now he was using it to lay foundation and paint walls.

His first day at work was a bust. His legs, back, and arms ached from carrying heavy bricks around all day. After taking a nice hot shower to soothe some of his muscles he headed down to Just Desserts for a treat. Another disappointment. While the place was nice, the selection left much to be desired and he could find anything he wanted or liked. He tried to hide his disappointment because the owner was standing right next to him. He was unsuccessful.

Zachary then decided to try a few spots in Eaton. The first night club was dead.

The second one had a lot of people but they were all old. It would have been nice if someone would have informed him that it was old peoples night in Eaton because he would have stayed home. He did me nice lady and was kind of ashmaded to admit that she was hot because she was old enough to be his mother.
